I was watching a show about coffee on the history channel, and they had a snippet about kopi luwak, which is the most expensive coffee per pound. Basically, this one animal climbs to the top of the coffee trees, eats the best coffee cherries, poops them out, and these are harvested - and whammo, there you have it, the most expensive coffee in the world. Only 500 pounds of this type of coffee is produced each year. That doesn't make much sense really. If there is such demand for this coffee, how hard is it to get those critters to eat more coffee cherries and poop out more?
